Minerals & Aggregates
Minerals and aggregates are non-renewable resources that may be found on your woodlot.
The landowner owns all stone, sand, gravel, peat, ordinary soil and most gypsum and limestone. Rights to minerals, oil, and natural gas belong to the government. Anyone may acquire mineral rights by applying for a mineral exploration license while oil and gas exploration rights are granted through a licensing procedure.
