Sketch
A sketch can be a valuable tool when describing and locating areas on your woodland. Often a landowner will develop many different sketches of the same woodlot to be used for various purposes.
Information which may be included:
- woodlot boundaries
- stand boundaries
- roads and trails
- lakes and streams
- stream crossings
- wetlands
- special management zones
- wildlife corridors
- raptor/heron nests
- cavity and snag trees
- deer wintering areas
- ecologically sensitive areas
- areas of interest to other users
